Indian Cuisine

One of the wonderful features of Indian cuisine or Indian food is the extremely wide range of choices that exist. They are all native to India and were created on the subcontinent. India is a nation with a great deal of diversity of soil types, climate and occupations and their cuisine varies in different parts of the country. There are also other factors that influence the cuisine such as spices, fruits, vegetables and herbs that can be easily found in each location.

Even the climate changes from one area to another and this is also an important factor. Even today, Indian food is still evolving because the country continues to adopt new ideas from other societies.

Chinese Cuisine

Chinese cuisine is one of the oldest and most diverse cuisines in the world. Two thousand years before the beginning of our era, people there ate noodles. Even today each province – there are twenty-three in total – has its own cooking style, based on regional ingredients and preferences.

These range from wildly picked greens in the mountains and fresh, salty seafood on the northeast coast to the light, sweet accents of Cantonese cuisine. In Central China, where chilli peppers are rampant, people love hot spicy food, while in Beijing, lamb is a favourite.

Continental Cuisine

Continental food refers to dishes made and consumed in the European countries. Dishes of French, Spanish and Italian cuisine fall under the category of ‘Continental food’. The key specialty of this food is, they concentrate more on ingredients like olive oil, wine, herbs and minimal spices. Continental food involves cooking techniques like frying, roasting and baking. Also, the food is rich and usually high in calories.
